Pipeline Development Program Manager Job Date: May 3, 2011 Location: IIkoyi - Lagos, Nigeria Job Number: 1365057 Business: GE Energy Business Segment: Energy - Oil & Gas Posted Position Title: Pipeline Development Program Manager Career Level: Experienced Function: Human Resources Function Segment: Organization and Staffing Location: Nigeria City: IIkoyi - Lagos Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: As a member of the GE Africa Human Resources' team, this role will be responsible for managing pipeline development and localization programs (corporate and regional specific programs: ~100 Employees, 30 interns and over 7 distinct programs) across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategy, curriculum, training, and assignment identification processes to position the region for growth by providing an effective & sustainable pipeline development strategy. Essential Responsibilities •Partner with HR and business leaders to prioritize and establish program strategies that support immediate and long term business needs •Strategic workforce planning that involves the proactive identification and program placements aligned with the growth trajectory for the region •Facilitate candidate evaluation, selection and hiring process. Manage cross-regional rotations (securing the applicable work permits and visas as needed) •Identify and place program participants in business critical assignments that bring value to the business and develops talent •Identify and build training, projects, and experiences that further develop program participants •Facilitate rotation evaluations; performance appraisals, and effective mentor and assignment matches. Drive performance management process throughout program life-cycle •Analyze recruitment, retention, and development trends and adjust programs accordingly.
