Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) The Program Support Unit (PSU) provides support to the Canadian development assistance program in Nigeria, including to Nigerian Government departments involved in CIDA projects and other projects. The PSU provides assistance in areas such as planning and monitoring of the development program, by carrying our specific activities related to program delivery and by providing professional, technical, financial, administrative and logistical support services. Operational Management of the PSU is the responsibility of the Director who reports to the CIDA Head of Cooperation at the Canadian High Commission. The Director is expected to ensure the provision of professional, technical, financial, administrative and logistical support resources required for the management of CIDA development programs and projects. The Director is expected to plan, organize direct and monitor the work of the PSU and well as to manage PSU contracted personnel and other human resources needed to carry out PSU work. Job Title: Director Program Support Unit (PSU) Mandatory Requirements The applicant must meet ALL three (3) mandatory requirements. If the applicant fails to meet these mandatory requirements, his/her application will not be considered further. The applicant must be a Nigerian citizen, a permanent resident in Nigeria for a minimum of six months; or the holder of a Nigerian residence card; and be legally and operationally in a position to work in Nigeria; 2. The applicant must possess a Bachelor's degree in a directly-related field (Social Science, Business Management, Finance, Administration, Economics, International Development); and 3. The applicant must have at least five (5) years of recent (within the last 10 years) and relevant working experience in one (1) of the following fields: project management, financial planning and management, human resource management (one year's experience is defined as a calendar year working full time).
