Nigerian Bottling company is recruiting to fill tthe position of a Plant Safety Manager(Ref:PSF/04/13)


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the operations of contractors and external visitors and ensure that they comply with safety guidelines. 
  • Advise on OHS trends and indicators. 
  • Develop programs and plans to achieve OHS objectives.
  • Consult with external authorities and other industry/company experts in order to keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practice. 
  • Monitor and inspect fire infra facilities and ensure reliability in event of fire emergency.     
  • Conduct routine drills to test Emergency preparedness for all likely emergency scenarios.  
  • Provide first aid facilities and ensure that first Aid replaceable kits are up to date, available and accessible. 
  • Provide and maintain Walk ways and ensure that vehicle and Pedestrian walkways are not obstructed. 
  • Provide and maintain clearly marked muster and fire assembly points and ensure that they are always free of obstruction. 
  • Issue Work Permits for Hazardous tasks. 
  • Provide Timely logging of incidents and ensure closure in the IMCR Database.  
  •  Provide PPE for workers and adequate storage facilities.      
  • Conduct inspection of forklift trucks and monitor the activities of forklift operators. 
  • Conduct safety inspections of material handling equipment.  Ensure safe warehouse stacking of materials and finished products.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and pep talks.  
  • Inspect all modifications and installation plant and equipment before commissioning.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitoring of the premises. 
  • Conduct Safety inspection of equipment including safeguarding, portable electrical devices.   
  • Conduct routine inspection of first aid kits and facilities.                                                                                                   
  • Develop, implement and maintain a Safety Management System on KORE and OHSAS 18001 Standards.
  • Prioritise and provide advice in a timely manner on OHSAS 18001 implementation.
  • Supervise the Plant's Health and Safety program. 
  • Facilitate internal audits of the safety management systems.
  • Seek out and/or provide Health & Safety problem solving ideas and solutions in response to issues identified that reflect best practice within the company or industry.
  • Review all safety rules on a regular basis and, where necessary, recommend suitable changes.
  • Investigate all accidents and damage to Plant property, identify root causes and recommend action to prevent re-occurrance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of Safety reports to plant management and to Head office. 
  • Maintain accident records and other safety documentation.  

Qualification :

  •  HND/B.Eng (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) 
  • Candidate should have production management experience within a beverage/soft drinks or similar process manufacturing     company .
  •  Should  have  knowledge of key Health & Safety practices and associated legislative requirements at national level essential.
  • Ability to investigate and identify root causes behind H&S issues/incidents and develop pragmatic options for resolution.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good time management skills essential.
  • Ability to organise and manage mixed ability teams in order to solve specific H&S related problems.
  • Good awareness of organisational structures for effective ownership and management of Health & Safety; Job design; performance management.
  • Audio/visual skills in presentation of information and training material are essential.
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to drive and enforce standards and influence people.
  • Ability to design and deliver training courses to all levels of employee desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good relations at all levels both internally and externally.

Description

  • We are seeking Solution Manager with a proven track record in supporting technical sales of complex IP networking solutions to Service Providers. Responsibilities

  • Driving the technical sales process and lead the designing of comprehensive and complex technical solutions addressing customer needs

Qualifications and Skills

  • Technical Certification in IP or other relevant area, e.g. CCIE, JNCIE.

  • Complete understanding of IP/MPLS, DWDM, microwave transmission & service creation/provisioning

JOB DIMENSIONS

Offshore job: FPSO laboratory Leader.
Production level: during plateau period = 175000bpd, 530 MMSCFD gas.
Technology involved: Deep water technology, Subsea production systems, FPSO, condensate export, gas export, gas injection, water injection.
Management of the laboratory with 2 or 3 persons.
Supervision on the chemicals contractor implementation on site (contract valued 13MUSD/A)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the framework of fluid management:

Provide technical assistance to process, production, maintenance and marine teams
Conduct technical audit for all laboratory clients
Maintain and improve rules for analyses for fluid (physico-chemistry).
Follow up field trials by vendors and Integrate field trial result into operations to optimize production.
Follow up major transverse research projects.

Within the framework of laboratory/treatment:

Perform all analysis according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all fluids and especially for export condensate analysis.
Ensure availability of all laboratory chemicals and consumables at all times and make requisitions when necessary to avoid stock outs
Manage or supervise the subsea and topside chemicals storage on board; (transfer, tote tank rotation, space mgt).


Following Quality control.
Carry out laboratory and spot analyses required for process
Ensure that all laboratory equipment are operationally available at all times (calibrations), maintaining same and arranging for repairs or replacement if necessary.

Within a general framework:

To participate in technical and operational analyses, audit and inspection
Contribute to Laboratory and treatment related SMRs and participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings
Management, organization of collaborator(s) activities.
Ensure external communications with laboratory clients
To contribute to improving skills and know-how, experience and feedback

Responsibilities for HSE :

Responsible for the safe and good operations of the laboratory activities.
Responsible for preparation of PTW for lab vendors, carryout TBT and audits
Responsible for the Safety, good orders, operability and cleanliness of the lab
Ensuring that HSE principles are implemented on the chemicals and fluid handling.
Update the MSDS of the chemicals in use on board (laboratory and injection chemicals).

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Importance in process monitoring and production quality control.
Guarantor on board of the chemical treatment responsible recommendation.

Job Description:


Activation of newly integrated BTS sites, Nodes (core element) after normal working hours, weekend, public holidays in ensuring optimal network performance and meeting business objectives and plans at all times
Detecting, Diagnosis and acknowledging of all alarms from all Base Station Subsystems Nodes or Elements
Real Time Performance/Management of all Base station Subsytems network elements for effectiveness and provision of daily reports for the next action to be carried out to improve network quality.
Perform routine maintenance on all BSS network nodes across the country.
Assume responsibility for correctly forwarding trouble tickets issued against all MTN Staff, other GSM providers, and MTN contractors. Also ensure that those tickets are resolved within specified period
Identifying the malfunctioning of BSS network element for overall efficiency and trouble spots using various management tools such as Ericsson TMOS, Huawei iManager M2000, REWSS, REMEDY etc.
Escalate all unresolved faults to the NSMC Co-ordinator if necessary
Act as interface and also provide access ref number to MTN Contractors, Field Engineers, Operational Maintenance Center Engineers and other GSM/PTOs companies for planned work/change request and access to all MTN Location
Hands on resolution of faults on Radio Access Nodes (BSC, BTS and Transcoder).
Perform NSMC duties as instructed by NSMC Co-ordinator, e.g., correlation of outages, reporting, follow-up and resolution of specific network faults.
Escalate all faulty devices or hardware detected after troubleshooting/diagnosing (which cannot be resolved remotely) to the field support engineers (Radio, Transmission, ESS and others) for replacement in order to improve network performance.
Provide real time security information to all regional security offices across the country in order to protect all MTNN equipments through real time network surveillance
Provide ideas and feedback on software tools, procedures and improvements to NSMC functionality.
Provide Ideas and Feedback on Network Status to the Relevant Planning Units based on specific KPIs such as Processor Load e.t.c,
Assist Capital program group engineers/Radio Engineers/Optimisation and support personnel with troubleshooting/diagnosing and resolution of BSS Network faults.
Ensure proper management and implementation of all network changes according to the organisation process and procedures
Provide regular update on MTNN performance and other network issues to the all the stake holders( Management(escalation unit, sales and distribution, customer relations, marketing and other relevant department in MTNN
NSMC Shift Hand-over procedure is strictly adhered to
Any extra duty as given from time to time by the NSMC Co-ordinator.

Normal MTNN working conditions. Regular shift work. On stand by 24/7 through out the year.
